In 1996, a group of industry, community leaders, human resource managers and plant managers shared a common concern about the lack of relevant training available for the workforce in Northwest Arkansas. Together they created Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education {dba Business and Industry Training/BIT), a not-for-profit consortium of area businesses and industries that shared resources and created customized, skill-based training to suit a wide range of needs.

New Scholarships Available

Springdale, Arkansas Residents Only

Are you interested in a scholarship to upskill, reskill or learn a new skill? Those eligible for the scholarship MUST be a Springdale, AR resident at the time of the application and will need to be in at least one of the categories listed:

  • High School students interested in manufacturing

  • Manufacturing workers looking to upskill and reskill

  • People who are transitioning from incarcerated or unemployed individuals wanting to learn new skills

  • Those with mobility restrictions and special needs
